District 86 Announces Seal of Biliteracy Winners for the Fall of 2021

Ninety-two students from across the district earned the Seal of Biliteracy for the fall of 2021. They received the award for scoring a 4 or 5 on the Advanced Placement exam in the spring, or performing well on a qualifying language proficiency test during first semester.

There were also several students who earned this honor in two languages, including:

  • Matthew Giadla - Polish and Spanish
  • Gabrielle Krzysiak - Polish and Spanish
  • Maximilian Lai - Chinese and Spanish
  • Anass Quneibi - Arabic and Spanish
  • Eliana Villone - Italian and Spanish
  • Grant Zhang - Chinese and Spanish

This accomplishment will be included on the high school transcripts and diplomas for these students to help communicate/convey their language skills to colleges/universities and potential employers. It may also earn them college credit.
