Given the heavy snow, freezing rain and hazardous travel conditions that are forecast for our area, District 86, in consultation and coordination with our feeders and other area schools, has decided to make tomorrow (Feb. 17) an Emergency Weather Learning (E-learning) Day. All other district employees are encouraged to contact their supervisor to discuss their assignments and schedule.
In terms of athletics, there will be no morning practices tomorrow. However, coaches will contact student-athletes during the day to let them know about the plans for or status of afternoon and evening events.
Barring any additional travel challenges or inclement weather, school will be back in session on Feb. 18. With that said, we encourage you to continue monitoring e-mail, social media and the district’s family of websites for updates about the weather and its impact on our operations.
