• Student Data Collection - Residency Verification - Online Registration

    Registration in District 86 is an ongoing, multi-step process directed by your student's status. The information below details our student data collection, residency verification and online registration processes and resources. 

    New to District 86:

    If you have moved into the Hinsdale Township High School District 86 Attendance Area and would like to begin the process of enrolling your student in a District 86 school, please review the information and complete the form found on the New to District 86! page. 

    Rising 9th Grade Student Data Collection for Course Selection:

    Eighth-grade students who plan to attend a District 86 High School for 9th their grade year and whose residence can be established within the District 86 attendance boundaries, are invited to participate in our course selection process in January. 

    Returning Student Data Validation and Opt Out Notification:

    Returning District 86 students are asked to make address changes prior to the beginning of the electronic Residency Verifciation Process and are notified of their right to opt out of eletronic residency verification. 

    Residency Verification:

    All District 86 students are required to provide proof of residency each school year. District 86 has contracted with a third-party vendor to check student residency information electronically. If residency cannot be verified electronically, further proof of residency will be required. 
     
    Residency must be verified prior to registration.
     
    Online Registration:

    In July, the designated custodial guardian of students whose residency is verified, will receive an email invitation to complete Online Registration.

    Registration must be completed for your student’s schedule to become active.

    Fees & Textbooks:
     
    Registered students, fees are activated in PushCoin and textbooks made available on the MBS website.
     
    Schedules & Attendance:
     
    Schedules Dropped
    Students whose residency has not been verified or whose online registration is incomplete on July 26 2019 will be made inactive and their schedule will be dropped. 

    Exclusion from Attendance
    Proof of immunization and physical examination should be submitted to the Health Services Office prior to July 15th for processing. Students who have not submitted proof of immunization and physical examination before the first day of school will be excluded from school on the first attendance day until the requirements have been completed. School absences due to non-compliance with the School Code of Illinois requirements for immunization and physical examination are considered unexcused.
