Hinsdale Township High School District 86
    Comprehensive SAT Assessment Plan 2018-2019

On June 18, 2018 the College Board was awarded a three-year contract to the state of Illinois “to provide a set of three aligned assessments of English language arts (ELA) and mathematics that require limited or no adaptation or augmentation for students in a secondary education program in grades 9, 10 and 11. The final of these assessments shall be a nationally recognized college entrance exam for the purpose of student application or admissions consideration.” The assessments will be administered during the school day starting in spring 2019, on the day already set aside for the mandated SAT for juniors. Therefore on April 9, 2019 all freshmen will take the PSAT 8/9, all sophomores will take the PSAT 10 and all juniors will take the SAT.  Additionally, all juniors will take the PSAT National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test on October 24th, 2018  providing them with the opportunity to qualify for National Merit Scholarship status.
