• Providing Proof of Vaccination Status
As part of our plan for returning to in-person instruction on a full-time basis, we are strongly encouraging, but not requiring, our students and staff to get vaccinated against COVID-19. We are also encouraging those who get vaccinated to provide us with proof of their vaccination status. Having access to this information will enable us to adjust or modify our plans for the year should there be updates to the guidance for schools or changes in the transmission level for the community. It will also help us streamline the contact tracing process and make it easier to identify those who will need to quarantine should we experience a positive case. According to the guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) and DuPage County Health Department (DCHD), students and staff who are fully vaccinated will not need to quarantine if they are a close contact unless they develop symptoms of COVID-19.

If you would like to provide us with your child’s vaccination record, you can bring a copy of it to their school or use the information below to email it or fax it to our nurses.

  • Monitoring District 86 Vaccination Rates
We are currently monitoring the student and staff vaccination rates for the district, and will be sharing that information with the community on a weekly basis. These rates are based on the number of people who have provided us with proof that they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. They also assume that individuals we do not have records for have not been vaccinated.

Any student or staff member who still wants or needs to get vaccinated can find the nearest location(s) by visiting https://www.vaccines.gov/.

    Student Vaccination Rates
Below are the student vaccination rates for each of our buildings as of Aug. 20.

    • 49.46% of students from Hinsdale Central are fully vaccinated
    • 25.89% of students from Hinsdale South are fully vaccinated
    • 18.11% of students from the Transition Center are fully vaccinated

    Staff Vaccination Rates
Our human resources department is in the process of collecting the vaccination rates for our staff. We will include that information on this page and in future updates to the community.
