On March 27, Governor Pritzker issued Executive Order 2020-15, which, among other things, suspended state assessments for spring 2020, including the Constitution exam. This action "officially ended assessment activity statewide for the Illinois Assessment of Readiness, Illinois Science Assessment, SAT, and Dynamic Learning Maps-Alternate Assessment for the 2019-20 school year."
The Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) said that it recognizes that the free SAT provided by the state is the only opportunity many students get to take a college entrance exam. With this in mind, ISBE is working with the College Board to develop options that would allow current 11th grade students to take the SAT in the fall.
The College Board will be administering 45-minute online AP exams. You can access the exam schedule by visiting https://bit.ly/34Ky22p. You can also access information about the resources the organization is making available to students and families by visiting https://bit.ly/3drqd5E.
