**Registration deadline is May 8th **


    Due to state guidelines, attendance is mandatory. Students are allowed to miss only two days from the class.  The Summer Driver Education class is an accelerated program and it is vital parents practice with their son/daughter in order for them to be successful in passing this course. All registrations for Summer Session Driver Education are tentative until the students’ birth date has been verified. Students with the earliest birth date will be given priority for class space. 

    Students whose registrations have been accepted must attend BOTH of the following classes prior to Semester 1 Beginning:

    1st Class – May 21st – 6:30 PM ‐8:30 PM  (permit applications, written test on Chromebook, vision test)

    2nd Class – May 28th – 6:30 PM ‐7:30 PM (permits are distributed, classwork begins)

    Summer School Calendar for Driver's Education:

    June 10th – 28th ~ Monday through Friday 

         *Classroom Phase 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM

    June 10th – July 19th ~ Monday through Friday

         *Behind The Wheel Phase ~ 7:00 – 9:00 AM or 11:00‐2:00 PM

    Class Locations:

    Classes at Hinsdale South will meet in the Little Theatre.  Classes at Hinsdale Central will meet in Health Room #155.

    Class Materials:

    Students need to purchase the Drive Right textbook and workbook; information about purchasing the textbook may be found online and with the registration packets.


    1st class (May 21) will consist of taking Rules of the Road written test on Chromebook and Vision test. Students must bring a $20.00 check written to Secretary of State, glasses or contacts (if needed) and a black pen.  To prepare for written test, go to www.cyberdriveillinois.com and study the rules of the road on the right side of the homepage. Students will receive their permit during the evening session May 28th.
