  • Summer School Registration is Open!

     
    This year, Summer School registration and tuition payment will occur online through the PushCoin Web Store. There are a variety of courses to choose from: credit recovery, credit advancement, academic enrichment courses and camps, as well as the opportunity to create extra flexibility in your child’s regular school year schedule to take different electives or more advanced coursework.
     
    First semester classes will begin Friday, June 7, 2019, and will end Thursday, June 27, 2019. Second-semester classes will begin Friday, June 28, 2019, and will end Friday, July 19, 2019.
     
    The deadline to complete Summer School registration is May 8, 2019.

  • Upcoming PTO Meeting and Conversations

     
    Please join us on Monday, April 22nd at 9 am for the final PTO meeting for this school year. There will be a short business meeting at 9, followed by Conversations with HCHS Director of Deans Kimm Dever who will be discussing school security and social pressures HCHS students are facing. Specifically, Kimm will discuss the current e-cigarette epidemic among teens and how HCHS is responding. This is a meeting not to be missed!
     
    Please note the meeting day change. The meeting will be held on Monday, not Wednesday. Refreshments will be served. All are welcome!

  • Walk the Walk - HCHS Announcement Information

     
    The Community House in conjunction with Hinsdale Central High School, Key Club, Peer Buddies & The Community House Junior Board proudly presents the 12th Annual Walk the Walk on Sunday, April 28th at 8:30 am at The Community House. Come out and walk 3 miles! While we will continue to walk for Autism, we will also incorporate our Behavioral Health services as well as Creative Solutions (like Art Therapy) - in short, our “ABC’s of Mental Health.”
     
    Proceeds from 2019 Walk the Walk will benefit The Counseling Center of The Community House. The Counseling Center provides therapeutic services to residents of both DuPage & Cook County who are striving to live their best lives. Our therapists are committed to providing life-changing services to people of all ages and stages of life with concerns related to autism spectrum disorder, depression, anxiety, trauma, behaviors, life transitions, challenging relationships, and more. Each step you take supports the comprehensive and family-centered services that we provide to the children and families in participating in our programs.

  • The Hinsdale Central High School Foundation

     
    The HCHS Foundation Hall of Fame Committee is seeking applications for the Hinsdale Central Hall of Fame.
     
    The HCHS Foundation Hall of Fame was established to recognize and honor those individuals who have set themselves above the rest through their accomplishments or service in the arts, athletics, business, education, public service or other endeavors. These outstanding individuals bring much pride to Hinsdale Central and are wonderful role models for its student body and the entire community.
     
    The HCHS Foundation Hall of Fame Committee encourages you to nominate any person, whether a Hinsdale Central graduate or not, who has distinguished him or herself and exemplifies the values and traditions of Hinsdale Central. Please be as specific as possible when submitting the application and include as much biographical information about the nominee as possible.
     
    Inductees are selected in June of each year, and the Induction Ceremony is held in conjunction with Homecoming festivities of the same year. Nomination forms for qualified individuals not selected in the current year will not be kept on file for consideration in subsequent years, but nominators are encouraged to resubmit applications.
     
    Applications are due to Hinsdale Central Foundation, P.O. Box 296, Clarendon Hills, IL 60514 by May 1, 2019, in order to be considered for the Class of 2019 Hall of Fame.

  • 8th Grade Parent Coffee - Parents of HCHS 2023

     
    Hinsdale Central PTO cordially invites all parents of Hinsdale Central Freshman Class of 2023 to a Red Devil Welcome Coffee. The coffee will take place on Thursday, May 2nd at 9:00 AM in the Cafeteria of HCHS. Come meet the Hinsdale Central High School Leadership Team and learn about academics, sports, and activities that HCHS has to offer. Find out how PTO involvement can help make your transition easier!
     
    Enter HCHS via the main doors off of 55th Street and be sure to bring a state-issued ID or driver's license.
     
    Tours will occur at the end of the presentation. Spirit wear will be available for purchase.

    ATTENTION STUDENTS: Congratulations! Your hard work and commitment to your education has paid off with acceptance to college! On graduation day, Hinsdale Central would like to honor your acceptance into your future school by displaying, at our graduation ceremony, a personalized banner featuring your name and your college’s name. This colorful banner, which is yours to keep, is a great keepsake commemorating your success in high school and beyond. These banners are currently on sale for $65, with proceeds going to activities programming here at Hinsdale Central.
     
    Please go to https://goo.gl/forms/Fu2DXCZXQRyUcolr2 and fill out the online order form. Once you have filled out the form, print it off and bring payment along with a copy of your college acceptance letter to the Activities Office (room 233) by May 8.
     
    Orders will not be filled if payment has not been received by May 8th.

  • New Procedures - Senior Parking Applications for 2019-2020

     
     
    Senior parking applications for the 2019/2020 school year will be available for submission starting March 15, 2019. Students should check their school email account in order to access the application. Students must use their school email account to access and submit the application. Please read the Hinsdale Central Senior Parking Guidelines and Application Process Document before submitting parking applications. Remember you may only apply for one semester. Applications must be submitted online no later than May 10, 2019. In order to complete your application, you will need to print a copy of the email you receive confirming your application and provide a copy of your current insurance card and driver’s license to the Deans Office by May 16, 2019. Please address questions to the Deans’ Office (630-570-8219).

  • District 86 College Night

     
     
    The annual District 86 College Night program will be held at Hinsdale Central on Wednesday, April 24th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the fieldhouse. With over 200 colleges planning to attend, this is a great opportunity for students to begin the college search process or connect with a rep from schools they are interested in. This year we will once again be partnering with Strive Scan to allow students to easily share their information with the colleges they meet with at the fair. We encourage students to register ahead of time at www.StriveFair.com.
